Trevor brought the funniest show-and-tell to preschool. A few months back, he found a “fossil” in the preschool parking lot. He determined, through careful investigation, that it was a toenail of the brachiosaurus type. Ever since, it has been sitting on his dresser next to his bed. For show-and-tell, we placed it in a purple satin treasure box and took it to school with us.

We rehearsed the details and Trevor was so excited to share it with his class. At the end of the day, as the kids exited their classroom in single file, Trevor rounded out the end of the line, carrying his treasure box. Ms. Becky informed me that he had explained very well to the class that he had found it in the preschool parking lot and that it was a brachiosaurus toenail.
Derek took Trevor to preschool on Friday and she told him that all the kids were so excited about the dinosaur bone and that in her 35 years of teaching, she can’t recall a funnier show-and-tell.
I sure wish I could have been there to hear him share.
